20 Things to Do in Los Angeles

Los Angeles. Entertainment capital of the world. Ready for it? It’s coming for you.

In 3, 2, 1… Hollywood Boulevard Take in a movie at El Capitan, Hollywood’s legendary landmark theater and home of the first spoken drama Kodak Building.  It’s got the best view of the Hollywood sign. Hollywood Star Walk or the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The walk is over 3 1/2 miles long, with over 2500 stars. Mann’s Chinese Theater. It’s filled with celebrity names and their hand print and shoe prints too.

Rock of Fame .

At the entrance of the legendary Guitar Center on Sunset Boulevard, are memorial plaques with the hand prints and signatures of your favorite rock-n-roller. Hollywood Forever Cemetery . It is one of the places you would come to celebrities. The catch is that they’re all dead.

One of the best views of Hollywood and Los Angeles is from Runyon Canyon. The only way to get there will cost you a 15 minute hike. It’s the LA smog, which will get you when you’re hiking. I’m huffing and puffing right now. Ever wanted to see the Hollywood Sign up close? Why not hike there.

A famous landmark and people watching spot is Canter’s 24 hour Deli. La Brea Tar pits, where a lot of animals met their death. LA County Museum of Arts is one of my favorite stops, contemporary art at it’s finest. Free Museum Days Fan of TV and talk shows?

Get ready to see some Free Live Tapings. Duration of the taping could last anywhere from three to five hours. LA has a lot of food options for many diets and being vegetarian I’m glad they have an option for me. Fill ‘er up!

Convenient and car-friendly lookout for viewing the city is Griffith Observatory. Offers one of the best night views of Los Angeles city, but did you know by day it’s a great park for hiking? The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip is a legendary venue which showcased some of Hollywood’s most famous comedians.

How bout some evening fun? Los Angeles has a killer night scene. Can’t go anywhere without finding something L.A. hip. A trip to Los Angeles wouldn’t be special without a visit to Venice Beach.
